About 50+ Living: editorial standards
50+ Living is a publication about health after fifty, written for adults who deserve the truth plainly told — including the parts that are still unclear.
Where our information comes from
We cite the World Health Organization, national public-health bodies such as the NHS and the CDC, recognised professional guidelines, systematic reviews and peer-reviewed studies. Every factual claim carries a source and a date. Where guidelines genuinely disagree — prostate screening is the clearest example — we say so rather than picking a side.
What we refuse to do
- We do not diagnose, or interpret an individual’s results or symptoms.
- We do not recommend, name or dose any supplement, medicine or protocol.
- We do not use fear, urgency, countdowns or before-and-after claims.
- We do not promise outcomes, or imply that decline is a personal failure.
- We do not sell supplements, and we do not run sponsored health claims. Ever.
Review status — read this carefully
Every article states its review status. Until a named clinician has reviewed a piece, it is marked “sources cited, not medically reviewed”. We will not write “medically reviewed by” on anything until that is literally true, with a name and a credential attached. If you ever see that phrase here without a name, it is a mistake — tell us.
Who publishes this
50+ Living is published by Frederick Adu, RFA. The interest here is not market research: it comes from years of rebuilding a body that needed it.
Corrections
If something here is wrong, we want to know, and we will correct it visibly rather than quietly. Write to us and say which page and what is wrong.
